Central Data's scsiTerminal Server/Series 2 is a fast, flexiblesolution for enterprise-wide distribution of serial and parallel I/O. TheSeries 2 consists of two units, the ST-2 and the ST-2008+. The ST-2 connects to the SCSI port, consuming one SCSI address. Up to sevenST-2008+ units can be daisy-chained to a single ST-2 through a high-speed RS-485 link, providing 56 serial and seven parallel ports from asingle SCSI target. ST-2008+ units may be located up to 1500 feet awayfrom the host system. The maximum Series 2 configuration provides 392serial ports and 49 parallel ports from a single SCSI bus. Drivers areavailable for HP-UX, AIX, OSF/1 and IRIX.
